WHAT IS VLONE?
WHAT IS VLONE? It all began on Harlem’s streets in 2013, when the ASAP MOB band established a road fashion company, Vlone Clothing, which many creative individuals created, including singers, fashionistas, musicians, and rappers. Within a short period, this apparel brand became famous on social media and quickly became popular when ASAP members started to wear it.
Who Created Vlone?
If the question arises, “who created Vlone,” then the first name we have to think of is a well-known hip-hop band ASAP MOB. Vlone brand clothing has been popular in many of the ASAP mob clothing line projects. The founders of ASAP MOB own the brand, the ASAP Bari brand, the ASAP Rocky brand, and the Edison Chen from CLOT, Jabari Shelton. ASAP Bari stated in an interview that the Vlone brand concept is all about collaboration, nobody is above others, and everyone contributes in its manner. With the help of Edison Chen, a creator of the Vlone clothing range, Bari was the first brand leader and further developed it. The company’s brand awareness is increased in 2014 by ASAP Rocky, a member of the mob and rapper of Asap.
What Does Vlone Means?
Not only is Vlone a brand this is a lifestyle. “Live alone, die alone.”
We are born alone; we live on our own; we die on our own. We can only create the illusion if we are not alone, with our love and friendship.
It is a faith, a lifestyle, not simply a clothes brand, and people respond to it. The concept of vlone reflects the philosophy, lifestyle, and culture of its creators: “Live Vlone, Die Vlone.” The collection of Vlone represents diverse lives, much as the ASAP mob is a group of many individuals. Inspired by this brand is Harlem Streets freestyle, from which Bari and Rocky originate.
What is Vlone Fashion?
The extended “V” on the clothing line of ASAP Bari and Rocky (vlone shirts, vlone hoodies, and Vlone Jackets) is now the distinctive face of the company.
ASAP Rocky Vlone released a music video in 2014. Until then, T-shirts and hoodies had only been launched. They presented additional streetwear clothes at a pop-up store that inspired young people and rappers during the Paris Fashion Week. Rocksmith inspired the need for streetwear. They held a pop-up in Los Angeles, where limited Vlone clothing was presented that drew skateboarders and fans of streetwear.
Collaborations: Nike & OFF-WHITE
In 2016 they worked together with OFF WHITE & Nike, a major success story. The collection OFF-WHITE X VLONE comprises pale orange and black suits, long sleeve pullovers, and track trousers created with the orange and black combination of signature.
On a fashion week presentation, they presented brilliant camo, sweat trousers, and caps with the visible Vlone emblem and “FRIEND” orange tees on the front. This exhibition saw the start of the collection of Vlone X OFF-WHITE.
